Stop calling Jane a whore.

it’s okay if you don’t like the character or her plotline with Robert, but for the love of fuck stop calling her a whore, or a slut, or anything like that. Jane was sexually assaulted. I do hope that I do not have to explain to you the implications of calling a sexually assaulted woman a slut or a whore. I don’t care if it’s “just a joke.” It’s not funny. It’s blatantly perpetuating rape culture.

Furthermore you’re placing the blame on the woman for her role in a relationship that you dislike. The fault is 100% Robert’s. Jane did not seek out a romantic relationship with Robert. She did not give a single sign that she wanted to either start or perpetuate a romantic relationship with Robert. She tried to freaking resign after the fact. The only actual fault she had in the relationship was being in a certain place at a certain time, and for looking a bit like Cora.

So stop. Please. Just stop. This is a great show with a great fandom. Please do not ruin it with misogyny.
